Equipment and Technology

Soil and Groundwater Remediation

Investigation and Monitoring

A technology that investigates and monitors the degree of contamination of soil and groundwater, and its changes over time.

Remediation by Excavation or Dredging

A technology that removes contaminated soil by excavation or dredging under secured conditions.

Solidification, Stabilization, and Containment

A technology that prevents leaching of heavy metals from soil to water with the use of insolubilization chemicals or solidification agents.

Contaminant Separation System and Technology

Soil Washing A technology that washes and removes heavy metals and volatile organic substances contained in soil with chemicals, etc.
Heating Separation A technology that separates and removes heavy metals, volatile organic substances, etc. from soil by heating up the soil that contains such substances.
Electrochemical Separation A technology that separates and removes contaminants such as heavy metals, etc. from soil by flowing electric current through the soil.
Flotation Separation A technology that lowers the specific gravity of contaminants and separates them by adding chemicals and blowing air into the contaminated groundwater.
Pumping Vaporization A technology that pumps up groundwater to the surface and vaporizes and removes volatile organic substances from the water.
Soil Vapor Extraction A technology that removes volatile organic substances from the soil of unsaturated zones by applying vacuum suction to it.
Low Temperature Heating A technology that vaporizes and removes volatile organic substances by heating soil with low temperature.
Activated Carbon Adsorption Technology that adsorbs and removes contaminants in groundwater or soil by activated carbon.
Adsorptive Bubble Separation Technology that separates and removes oil content in soil by flotation with small bubbles generated by the injection of hydrogen peroxide into the soil.

Decomposition

Thermal Decomposition A technology that detoxifies volatile organic substances in the soil and groundwater with thermal decomposition by rotary kilns, etc.
Chemical Decomposition A technology that decomposes and detoxifies contaminants in the soil and groundwater by chemical reaction.
Oxidation Decomposition A technology that decomposes and removes volatile organic substances in the soil and groundwater by chemical decomposition with oxidizing agents.
Reduction Decomposition A technology that reduces and removes volatile organic substances from the soil and groundwater with the use of reducing agents such as iron powder, etc.
Bioremediation A technology that decomposes and detoxifies contaminants in the soil and groundwater by the use of microorganisms.
